GIANT SNAILS CAN TRANSMIT PARASITES TO HUMANS
The CDC warns that transmission is possible through the consumption of raw or undercooked snails, although even if infected, many people show few or mild symptoms. Although the parasite dies on its own over time, some patients may experience symptoms for several weeks, and on occasion, the infection causes eosinophilic meningitis. More information
