Early Childhood STEP Program
STEP (Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) is a seven-week program for parents of children ages 6 and under that teaches practical skills for discipline and effective communication. Co-sponsored by the Child Development Center and Counseling Services. Please call 786-662-5080 for schedule and to register.

Baby's First Year: A Group for New Moms
New moms and their babies attend sessions together. Supportive sharing is fostered among the mothers. Interactions to facilitate mother-baby bonding are encouraged. Child development education is provided.  The group meets from 10-11:15 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month at South Miami Hospital, Victor E. Breastfeeding Discussion Group

Provides education and support for breastfeeding mothers prior to delivery as well as after. Women's Health Resource Center, 8950 N. Kendall Dr.  #105, 10-11:30 a.m.; 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.
