Tomas Villanueva, D.O., has been elected secretary/treasurer of the more than 1,400 physicians on the Baptist Hospital medical staff.
He also serves as medical director of the Hospital Medicine Program for Baptist Health, and is the former vice chairman of medicine for Baptist Hospital. He has been on staff at the hospital since 1995.
Dr. Villanueva is Board-certified in internal medicine and hospice and palliative medicine. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, and completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He also has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami.
A resident of Kendall, Dr. Villanueva is married and has three children.
