Michael A. Stein has been named Corporate Vice President of the International Division for Baptist Health South Florida. The appointment was announced by George Foyo, Baptist Health executive vice president and chief administrative officer. Mr. Stein succeeds Allen Brenteson, who is retiring.
Mr. Stein will direct Baptist Health’s international services program, which is one of the largest in the country. Some 12,000 patients, primarily from Latin America and the Caribbean, come to Baptist Health facilities annually for treatment.
Mr. Stein has a long and distinguished career in international business. Prior to his work with Baptist Health, he was at Korn/Ferry International, an executive recruitment firm. He also worked with Hilton International PLC as a vice president for its Latin America division, and previously worked for more than 25 years with two CPA firms, Laventhol and Andersen & Horwath, where he was a consulting partner.
Mr. Stein is a co-founder and chair of the Latin America CEO Network, which is comprised of 25 leaders of multinational companies doing business in Latin America and the Caribbean. He holds degrees in hotel administration from Cornell University and in biochemistry from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

In addition, he will strengthen ties with referring physicians and work with our medical staffs and hospitals to expand our services.”
