The main phone number at Doctors Hospital has changed to 786-308-3000. The change to the main and other phone numbers is the result of a new phone system installed recently. Among the improvements is a faster connection when dialing the hospital’s main number.
Callers to patients can just dial the hospital’s main numbers, and then, when prompted, press “1” and the patient’s room numbers. They may also call departments directly, using newly assigned phone numbers. Some of the more frequently called departments and their phone numbers include: Emergency – 786-308-3911; Patient Registration – 786-308-3030; Physical Therapy – 786-3761; Radiology/Imaging Services – 786-308-2301; Laboratory – 786-308-3100; Medical Records – 786-308-3192; Patient Financial Services – 786-594-1660; and Physician Referral – 786-596-6557.
To ease the transition to the new phone numbers, callers can still use some of the old numbers until the phone directories come out next fall.
The new phone system is the same as that used by the other Baptist Health affiliates.
Doctors Hospital is part of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region. It also includes Baptist Hospital, Baptist Children’s Hospital, South Miami Hospital, Homestead Hospital, Mariners Hospital in the Upper Keys, Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute and Baptist Outpatient Services. |
