The Medical Staff of Mariners Hospital has selected a new slate of leaders for the next two years. Internist Dennis Rainwater, M.D., will serve as president; neurologist Elisa Brown-Soltero, M.D., will fill the seat of vice president.
Other officers include gynecologist Sandy Yankow, M.D., as past president and anesthesiologist John Cain, M.D., member-at-large. Pediatrician Stanley Zuba, M.D., was elected section of medicine chief and plastic surgeon F. True Lansden, M.D., was chosen section of surgery chief.
The new officers serve as the Medical Executive Committee, which is responsible for overseeing the more than 70 physicians on staff at Mariners Hospital, as well as the overall quality of care provided to patients and patient safety.
Mariners Hospital is part of Baptist Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare organization in South Florida.
