1.  What is Baptist Health South Florida?
Baptist Health is South Florida's largest faith-based, not-for-profit health care organization with an outstanding reputation for medical and service excellence. International Center of Miami
1.  What travel arrangements are provided to get to a  facility?
Baptist Health’s International Service Office will coordinate air and ground ambulance transfers, if needed, and will provide transportation to and from our facility for patients staying within a hospital perimeter.   To contact our International Service Office, call 786-596-2373 or send an email to: international@baptisthealth.net
2.  Where can I learn more about insurance and financial matters related to my care at Baptist Health?
Our specially trained Patient Services Representatives will provide you with financial counseling that includes making arrangements for bank wire transfers, and quoting all-inclusive pricing for patients without insurance. 3.  What if English is not my native language? 
Our multilingual staff will assist you with your language concerns. Interpretation services are also made available when necessary. 4.  How can I learn more about a specific disease or health condition in my language?
Our Patient Services Representatives can also guide you to a specialist for additional information. In addition, there is the area on our Baptist Health website where you can refer to our A-Z Health Topics Index.
5.  How do I get an appointment if I live outside the United States?
If you live outside of the United States, to make an appointment call our International Center at 786-596-2373 or send an email to:  international@baptisthealth.net.
6.  How do I know what kind of specialist I need?
The attending physician in your country of origin can make that determination based on his/her diagnosis of your condition.   
7. What is your policy on making a diagnosis from abroad with a second opinion at your facility?
For a second opinion at our facility, all you need to do is submit the medical records by Express Mail; or Scan and email a copy of the films to be reviewed by a specialist. Please coordinate all second opinions with our International Center at 786-596-2373 or send an email to our web address:  international@baptisthealth.net.
8. Do I need a Visa if I’m traveling to the USA for medical reasons?
This will depend on your country of origin. If you do need a Visa, our International staff can help with a letter confirming your appointment for the medical visit. Please contact our International Center at 786-596-2373 or send an email to our web address:  international@baptisthealth.net.
9. What should I bring to my first appointment?
Bring your photo identification, your health insurance card, a list of current medications and your medical records as well as all available films.

Baptist Children's Hospital

Long a leader in advanced pediatric care, Baptist Hospital opened Baptist Children's Hospital to bring together all the health care services for children from birth to age 18. More than 200 pediatricians and 100-plus pediatric sub-specialists in nearly every field, backed by quality pediatric-trained nurses and support personnel offer their expertise at Baptist Children's Hospital. Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute offers a multidisciplinary team approach to preventing, diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease. Doctors Hospital

Doctors Hospital recently installed the latest generation in state-of-the-art technology, the Leksell Gamma Knife Perfexion. This innovative system dramatically broadens the use of stereotactic radiosurgery, making it possible to treat neck/cervical lesions and multiple lesions with ease.
The Miami neuroscience team at Doctors Hospital developed the first Gamma Knife program in the state of Florida; and therefore, it is at the forefront of this revolutionary, noninvasive type of surgery. The Gamma Knife treats brain tumors and other abnormalities once thought to be inoperable. It works by sending small beams of radiation targeted directly at the lesion. Many professional athletes from around the world come to Doctors Hospital to see our specialists in Sports Medicine. Homestead Hospital
1. What health services and specialties do you offer at Homestead Hospital?
Our facility has the latest technology and equipment. It incorporates natural light, soothing colors, plenty of open spaces and all private rooms to help create a warm, healing environment. Homestead Hospital has medical-surgical units, an intensive care unit, surgical services, a pediatric unit, Physical Therapy Center, and Sleep Diagnostic Center as well as outpatient diagnostic testing. The outpatient diagnostic center includes the much-admired all-women services in our Imaging Department that provides MR Imaging of the breast. Other highly praised services are offered by the Cardiology Department and Surgery Department. One example of our excellent surgical treatments includes thyroid-related surgeries by renowned surgeon, Dr. George Tershakovec, whose office is located in our medical office building.
