Having a baby is one of the most important experiences of your life. At Homestead Hospital, we want it to be one of the nicest, too. We've designed our Birthing Suites with all the comforts of home, and all the safety and security of a modern, technologically advanced hospital unit.
For Your Comfort
Relaxing comes naturally in our private Birthing Suites decorated in warm wood tones to provide a comfortable birthing experience. You are welcome to invite up to three guests to keep you company while you are in labor. After your baby’s birth, you will enjoy a beautifully decorated room with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Your newborn is encouraged to stay in the room with you, snuggling in your open arms or in a bedside bassinet.
For Your Care
Natural childbirth occurs in your own private birthing suite. When necessary, cesarean-section births will occur in an operating room on the same unit. All of our nurses are experienced in labor and delivery, newborn nursery and post-partum care. Each nurse is trained in fetal monitoring and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation. Anesthesiologists are available to treat your labor pain with epidural anesthesia or should the need arise for anesthesia during cesarean section.
Neonatologists are available 24 hours a day should your baby need special, intensive medical care. You and your baby will have the full attention our nurses for safe and loving care.
For Your Safety
Mother and infant security is a top priority. Visitor access to the unit is closely monitored. All newborns have computerized identification bracelets that track their locations at all times.
