The 24-hour neonatal transport service provides specially trained staff members to transport infants to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at South Miami Hospital (levels II and III) or Baptist Hospital (levels II and III) from another medical facility. Accompanying an infant, whether by ground or air, is a qualified team that includes a neonatal nurse, respiratory therapist or neonatologist (a doctor who specializes in newborns).
