The staff in the Pediatrics Unit care for children from birth up to age 18. The unit provides comprehensive inpatient care for medical and surgical patients, as well as a wide variety of outpatient services. Social workers, care coordinators, and pediatric dietitians work closely with the children and their families. Baptist Children's Hospital's Child Life Specialist helps ease the stress of the hospital experience with tours for parents and children, reading materials and toys designed for play therapy.
