Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute is hosting a unique WomenHeart Support Network for women who have heart disease.
The meetings usually take place at Cardiac Rehabilitation, 2nd floor, Baptist Hospital.
WomenHeart: the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, has started a nationwide network of education and support groups where women can share their experiences of living with heart disease.
The Institute’s new group is led by Ann de Velasco, R.N., a heart attack survivor, and Susan D’Agostino, R.N., manager of Cardiac Rehab at the Institute. Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute is the only hospital in Miami-Dade that is hosting a WomenHeart Support Network. For more information, call 786-596-6564.
