Camp Out to Combat Cancer
Games, entertainment, refreshments and an all-night camp-out will turn the grounds of Baptist and Homestead Hospitals into fun-filled fairgrounds for two American Cancer Society Relays for Life.
The event, that includes a survivors’ celebration and relay-style walk around the hospital’s lake, begins at noon at Baptist Hospital, Saturday, March 20 and ends the next morning. The Relay at Homestead Hospital is set to start at noon, Saturday, May 15 and will continue all night. Last year, the Homestead Relay raised $50,000 and the Baptist Relay raised $208,000 for the Cancer Society.
