The outpatient phase of treatment pairs the patient with a team of chemical dependency professionals who treat all aspects of the disease: physical, emotional and spiritual. Days are structured to include lectures, group therapy, one-on-one counseling and family therapy sessions.
This phase requires patients to participate in 20 sessions at the hospital for approximately four hours each weekday. Patients must attend daily group therapy sessions and also regularly meet individually with therapists. They also attend daily lectures on topics ranging from relapse prevention to cross addiction.
We invite families to participate in patients’ active recovery with family therapy sessions, support groups that cater to family members and presentations that help families understand addiction and recovery.
Patients are randomly tested weekly to ensure an alcohol- and drug-free environment. We also require patients to attend weekly Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous meetings held at the hospital or at other locations throughout the community.
We understand that breaking the cycle of addiction requires a commitment from the patient as well as support from family, friends and addiction treatment professionals.
