Detoxification, or medical stabilization of the body, is the first phase in treating addiction for many patients.
The Addiction Treatment Center provides a detoxification program for alcohol and most other drugs. Our physicians are skilled in minimizing withdrawal symptoms. Registered nurses are on duty at all times to ensure safe withdrawal. Detox from alcohol usually takes three to five days, depending on the severity of symptoms. Detox from drugs may take longer.
Patients receive individual counseling and attend group therapy sessions while in the hospital. They are also educated about their addiction in order to understand the process of recovery.
Our detoxification unit features 16 beds with semi-private accommodations. Patients may have contact with their loved ones at specified times, either through phone calls or on-site visits.
