The mission of Baptist Health South Florida Foundation, Inc., a voluntary, not-for-profit operating foundation, is to provide volunteer leadership and philanthropic support to improve the health and quality of life of the individuals and communities served by Baptist Health.
Our vision, through philanthropy, is to actively support and accelerate Baptist Health's ability to consistently deliver superior clinical outcomes using the latest in technological advances.
Since 1980, the Foundation has raised approximately $100 million to support our mission and advance our vision. Some of the Baptist Health programs and projects the Foundation has helped fund include:
- The new, all digital Homestead Hospital
- The Baptist Health Breast Center
- A children’s cancer fund at Baptist Children's Hospital
- South Miami Hospital's Tomotherapy Hi-Art System, the most advanced cancer radiation treatment available.
- Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute's neurointerventional angiography suite to treat stroke and other neurological conditions
- South Miami Heart Center
- The Victor E. Clarke Pavilion at Baptist Hospital, which houses one of the largest emergency centers in Florida.
- South Miami Children's Clinic, which gives free care to uninsured children in South Miami.
- The Child Development Center at South Miami Hospital
- Speediatrics, the Betty Jane France Children's Emergency Centerat Homestead Hospital.
- An endowment fund to support Mariners Hospital eICU LifeGuard system
- The Barry T. Katzen Medical Director Endowment Fund at Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute
