Sauté and Sip Interactive Dinner Raises Funds for Baptist Health Breast Center
Nostalgia set the stage for the third annual Pineapple Sauté and Sip Interactive Dinner, May 7 at the Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove. Hosted by Baptist Outpatient Services, proceeds from the event benefit the Baptist Health Breast Center CareCoach Program.
A cavalcade of show tunes from Streisand, Minnelli and Midler greeted more than 325 guests as they entered the ballroom to enjoy a culinary fest extraordinaire. Renowned chef, Jacques Van Staden, vice president of food and beverage operations for Celebrity Cruises, didn’t disappoint with his interpretation of Asian Fusion cuisine – interactive style.
Therese G. Klotz and family served as Sauté & Sip's honorary chair, and Radiology Associates of South Florida was the evening’s presenting sponsor. Additional major sponsors included Celebrity Cruises, Chef Jacques Van Staden, Sous Chefs of Le Cordon Blue®, Towncare Dental, Naya Architects, Comprehensive Pathology Associates, Inc., Criticare Clinics, Inc.
Grace Wang, M.D., a distinguished oncologist at Advanced Medical Specialties and renowned leader in the battle against breast cancer, was honored for her dedication, and contributions to breast cancer. “Dr. Wang’s expertise and compassionate bedside manner instills admiration in her patients and has garnered the respect of her colleagues and the medical community,” said Patricia Rosello, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services.
“This evening, we applaud Dr. Wang’s efforts and celebrate her for the many lives she has touched.”
Baptist Health Breast Center, featuring digital imaging technology, top quality diagnostics and expert surgical care, serves as a healing and centralized resource for breast cancer patients. Diagnostic services include breast MRI, core biopsy and breast PET. In addition, our CareCoach Program provides each woman and her family with personalized attention and assistance. Our coaches provide emotional support to breast cancer patients from the moment of diagnosis and throughout the medical journey. They are able to draw from their own personal experiences to support those who face a very stressful and uncertain time.
When donors support Baptist Health Breast Center, a beautifully handcrafted glass butterfly will be displayed at the Center's hope garden wall with a loved one's name to serve as inspiration to others on the breast cancer journey. For more information, call Régine Cambronne at 786-662-4846.
