Celebration of Generosity

Baptist Health Donors: Generosity in the Spotlight

John D. Rockefeller Jr., made giving a life-long priority. “I was trained from the beginning to work, to save and to give,” Rockefeller famously said. This philosophy set the stage for “A Celebration of Generosity,” Baptist Health Foundation’s annual donor recognition dinner, February 9 at the Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove.

“It is truly a pleasure to honor our donors, who have been so generous with their time and resources,” said Rudy Kranys, Baptist Health Foundation Board chairman. “Their financial gifts and invaluable service help Baptist Health sustain its long tradition of caring and providing excellent healthcare to our South Florida neighbors. We are extremely grateful for their generosity and dedication.”

Event highlights included a video presentation featuring Volunteer of the Year recipients from each facility. Award recipients were William W. Wilson III, for Baptist Hospital, Robert Berrin for South Miami Hospital, Jose Portuondo, M.D., for Doctors Hospital, Doylene Losner for Homestead Hospital, Jerry Hirsch for Mariners Hospital, Dan Hanrahan for Baptist Outpatient Services, and Lourdes Jofre-Collett, Volunteer of the Year for Baptist Health.
