Pastoral Care: Care and Counseling Services

Care and Counseling Services

Providing Faith-based Counseling to the Community
Care and Counseling Services, under the guidance of Baptist Health South Florida’s Pastoral Care Services, provides confidential and compassionate counseling support to individuals seeking help during crisis or opportunities for growth and enrichment in their lives. Our pastoral counselors draw upon spiritual and behavioral health resources in helping clients to achieve a healthy balance with their emotions, behavior and relationships. We provide high-quality, faith-based counseling and education services to individuals, families and congregations in our community.

Our Guiding Principle
Through our compassionate, interfaith supportive services, we seek to provide hope and transformation of lives while revealing the healing presence of God.

Counselors With Expertise and Experience
Our pastoral counselors and faith integrated therapists have advanced training in the practice of counseling and hold state licenses in marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling or clinical social work, or they may be under the direct supervision of a state-licensed supervisor.

Counseling Fees
Fees will be agreed upon between the counselor and client during the initial session. Subsidies may be available to qualifying clients and families. Baptist Health South Florida believes an important part of its mission is to provide affordable, faithbased counseling services.
