Today, helping people stay well is a major part of what health care is all about at Baptist Health South Florida, which sponsors a wide variety of free health fairs, seminars and wellness programs for the community.
Support groups
Arthritis, Breastfeeding, Caregivers, Infertility, Loss, Sleep Disorders. These are a few of the more than 60 informal support groups held at Baptist Health hospitals. Check out the Events & Education section of the website.
Women's Health
The Women's Health Resource Center offers useful programs on dozens of topics, as well as a library of health books and tapes, domestic abuse counseling, physician referrals and health fairs in celebration of Women's Health Day.
Source for Older Adults
Our Senior Services department is a health-wise addition to the wisdom of age. We have special programs on subjects from crime-proofing to computers, nutrition advice and Social Security and Medicare guidance.
Cancer Support Groups
The Baptist-South Miami Regional Cancer Program offers a wide variety of support groups to help cancer patients and their families. Diabetes Support Groups
Support groups offer adults, teens and children with diabetes a chance to share and learn from others who are also learning to take control of the disease.
Coping with Heart Disease
The Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute at Baptist Hospital offers two support groups -- Straight from the Heart and The Road to Recovery -- to help cardiac patients and their families learn from professionals and from one another.
