The Emergency Center is open 24 hours a day to provide immediate treatment of life-threatening emergencies as well as the prompt evaluation, stabilization and initial treatment of urgent medical problems.
The center's staff provides emergency services for such conditions as chest pain, shortness of breath, seizures, sprains, cuts, orthopedic injuries and abdominal pain.
While Doctors Hospital does not have a maternity service, pregnant women in labor who come to our Emergency Center will be evaluated, treated and transferred to an appropriate facility.
Patients with the following conditions will be transferred to area hospitals that provide specialized services:
• Major trauma cases
• Major burns
• Spinal cord injuries
• Cardiovascular conditions requiring surgical interventions
• Patients requiring alcohol or drug detoxification
