Community Wellness at Baptist Hospital of Miami

Years ago, the purpose of a hospital was to treat people when they were ill and injured...period. But just as the field of medicine has evolved in remarkable ways, so has the concept of health care. Today, helping people stay well is a major part of what health care is all about at Baptist Health South Florida, which sponsors a wide variety of free health fairs, seminars and wellness programs for the community.

Support groups
Arthritis, Breastfeeding, Parkinson's, Infertility, Loss. These are a few of the more than 50 informal support groups held at Baptist Health hospitals.

Women's Health
The Women's Health Resource Center at Baptist Hospital offers useful programs on dozens of topics, as well as a library of health books and tapes, domestic abuse counseling, physician referrals and health fairs in celebration of Women's Health Day.
