Baptist Children’s Hospital is located within Baptist Hospital of Miami, which is accredited with commendation by the prestigious American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. It is part of Baptist Health South Florida and has been providing pediatric cancer care since 1996.
Our pediatric cancer team has the expertise and experience to treat a child’s disease while helping the family cope with this life-changing event. The pediatric oncology support team, consisting of the medical director of pediatric oncology, nurses, psychologists, social workers, chaplain and child life specialist, meets every other week to discuss the plan of care for young cancer patients and to review their progress.
Services
Imaging services include X-ray, endoscopy, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasound and fluoroscopy, computed tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), PET/CT and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT).
Surgery is performed in our state-of-the-art operating rooms and includes minimally-invasive surgery.

Patients have access to pet therapy, humor programs, educational playtime and a school reintegration program; pain management, palliative care services, specially-trained oncology nurses, social workers, dietitians, chaplains, child life specialist as well as programs and support groups for families.
