New Homestead Hospital

Read about the new hospital in the Spring 2007 edition of Resource.

Baptist Health is building a new, 120-bed prototype hospital for the future in Homestead to broaden healthcare services for the expanding population of south Miami-Dade County. The $135-plus million project, which also features a medical office building, will replace the existing Homestead Hospital, which has existed at 160 NW 13 St. since 1940. The new hospital is located just east of the Florida Turnpike on the north side of Campbell Drive (SW 312 St.). It will feature all private patient rooms, an Emergency Center triple the size of the existing one, additional operating rooms and more clinical space for outpatient diagnostic services and minimally invasive surgery. The new hospital is scheduled to open in Spring 2007.
