Long a leader in advanced pediatric care, Baptist Hospital opened Baptist Children's Hospital to bring together all health care services for children from birth to age 18. More than 200 pediatricians and 100-plus pediatric subspecialists in nearly every field, backed by pediatric- trained nurses and support personnel, offer their expertise at Baptist Children's Hospital. Among the services are a 24-hour Children's Emergency Center with child-sized equipment; specialty clinics for diabetes, cancer, cystic fibrosis, heart disease and genetics, to name a few; intensive care units for newborns and youngsters; and a children's ambulance and air transport team.
