Micah Edelstein of Bravo’s hit show Top Chef, and Kira Volz, Miami Beach’s Creek 28 executive chef, will host the inaugural Pineapple Sauté and Sip Interactive Dinner, hosted by Baptist Outpatient Services. The dinner at 7 p.m., Friday, May 9 at the Biltmore Hotel, will raise money for a new Advanced Surgical and Breast Imaging Center.
“We're very excited to have Micah and Kira host our first interactive dinner,” said Patricia Rosello, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services. “We look forward to everyone coming out for an exciting evening, knowing that they’ll be benefiting the women of our community.”
Edelstein, best known for her eclectic world cuisine, owns a Boca Raton-based catering company, The Wandering Chefs Caterers, and was featured on season four of the Top Chef reality show. Volz, who specializes in Mediterranean fare, recently joined the Indian Creek Hotel in Miami Beach to create the new Creek 28. Recently, she served as celebrity guest chef aboard the famed cruise ship, Queen Mary 2.
During the evening, guests will embark on a culinary adventure as they cook alongside chefs Volz and Edelstein, learning exciting techniques to prepare food. The interactive dinner also will feature a champagne reception, and live and silent auctions.
The new Advanced Surgical and Breast Imaging Center’s mission is to provide women convenient access to state-of-the-art technology and expert physicians for the purpose of early detection and treatment of breast cancer.
