The high quality care you associate with Baptist Health South Florida is also available at our convenient outpatient diagnostic centers. There are many great reasons to come to Baptist Health for your diagnostic scans. Whether you come from home or work, our locations mean greater convenience for you. Our Centers are fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and hold voluntary accreditations from the American College of Radiology.
We strive to offer an attractive and comfortable environment at all of our facilities, a reflection of the overall quality you have come to expect from Baptist Health. You can get an appointment for most tests within three days, and many of our sites have next-day availability. Our patient scheduling operators are happy to help you find the most convenient option.

Our radiologists cover an array of specialties including digital mammography, neuroradiology, pediatric and musculoskeletal radiology, nuclear radiology, ultrasound, PET/CT and MRI. Their extensive experience and in-depth knowledge offer a level of expertise that other centers cannot match. Our physicians are also backed by a skilled and caring staff that is second to none.
The Latest Technology
In our ongoing commitment to offer the most up-to-date technology, Baptist Health had the first PET/CT scanner in South Florida, a sophisticated machine that dramatically improves the ability to diagnose and treat cancer. Our MRI scanners, including the new 3-Tesla, are compact and powerful and our digital X-ray machines produce high-quality images with less radiation.
Baptist Health is also equipped with the Picture and Archival Communication System (PACS) for imaging studies taken at Baptist Hospital, South Miami Hospital, Baptist Outpatient Center and all the Baptist Medical Plazas. PACS technology stores images in digital format, replacing the need for traditional analog films. Physicians are able to receive their patients' reports by fax or online within 24 hours of the study. The benefits are many, with the bottom line being better care for patients.
Digital images available through PACS include PET/CT scan, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy, X-ray, peripheral vascular studies and echocardiograms. Patients can also request a copy of their images in digital CD format, free of charge. Conventional films are also available at no charge.
