About Baptist Health: Volunteer at Doctors Hospital 

I would like to thank you for expressing an interest in Volunteer Services  atDoctors Hospital. As you know, volunteering is very rewarding and every one of our volunteers is very special to us. We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful and energetic people working in our Hospital. Our program includes several positions around the hospital, and we currently have a rotation of about one hundred volunteers. We try our best to accommodate each volunteer based on their availabilities, talents and interests. Our exciting Volunteer Program at Doctors Hospital offers a wide variety of opportunities and rewarding experiences.

We, at Doctors Hospital believe that volunteering gives you potential employment skills and self-satisfaction in knowing that you can make a difference in the lives of others. Our patients, staff and fellow volunteers all benefit from your experience. Also some of the other volunteer benefits include a free meal for your scheduled days, insurance coverage in case of an accident while on duty, flu shot, annual awards, PPD testing annually, discount of uninsured portion of  hospital costs, and discount tickets for community activities (i.e. movies, stores). 

Any responsible individual over 14 years old that would like the opportunity to assist hospital employees in the healthcare field could be a volunteer. On this site, you will find all the information you need to become a volunteer at Doctors Hospital.

If you would like to apply to be a volunteer at Doctors Hospital, you may call the Volunteer Office at 786-308-3595 or 786-308-3597 and request that an application be sent to you or you may complete the on-line application by clicking on application. Once your application has been submitted, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. This interview which is approximately half an hour long will provide you with the opportunity to learn more about the Volunteer Program, and for you and I to become better acquainted.

Volunteer Applications:

Adult Volunteers: Anyone who is 18 years of age and older, and not currently attending an accredited college or university.

College Volunteers: Students who are currently attending an accredited college or university.

Teen Volunteers: Students who are between 14 and 18 years old of age.

Once the application process above is complete and you receive an email from the administrator you can proceed to the following links: General Orientation:  Online Test  Once testing is done, please print and save the Certificate of Completion. Once started, you have 30 minutes to complete.
